Turnout Gear is an [Outerwear](https://barotraumagame.com/wiki/Gear#Outerwear) item intended for use in fighting fires. The suit offers no depth protection, and is not considered waterproof for things such as [Cyberarms or Cyberlegs](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2791142042). It has an inventory slot for storing all types of fire extinguishers ([Fire Extinguisher](https://barotraumagame.com/wiki/Fire_Extinguisher), [L100-Extinguisher](/mechtrauma/items/gear/tools/l100-extinguisher.md), [S5 Extinguisher](/mechtrauma/items/gear/tools/s5-extinguisher.md)).

#### Tips

It is recommended to keep Turnout Gear equipped with a completely fuelled [L100-Extinguisher](https://mechtraumaunstable.fandom.com/wiki/L100-Extinguisher) and [Fire Resistant Oxygen Tank](/mechtrauma/dead-links/fire-resistant-oxygen-tank.md) at all times.
